Could we also please remember that when people do things we happen to disagree with, it might be kinder to make more gracious approaches and comments, rather than 'ripping them a new @$$hole' with hurtful criticisms and insults?
It was a genuine misguided action, and I really didn't appreciate all the disparaging remarks.
I would have thought that as people in a position of Buddhist practice, you might have been somewhat kinder and more gracious.
It stung.
I was hoping that by addressing my actions some might at least have retracted their observations....
Consider this my final act as Moderator.
I will resign my position on the basis of my obvious ignorance, and suggest that someone more suitable and knowledgeable put forward their names in offer of services.
I recommend it.
Good luck.

Good Points Federika, and I am sorry. I have often heard that samsarra comes down to competiveness.
Many times I have written things I am not proud of on this forum. I leave them for that reason...
I think we can all live and learn. Rather than leaving, I would ask both you and pohtiongho to stay with us very imperfect people and continue to do your best, as long as we see our own imperfections, and learn from them, that is perfect in a way.
For me this whole thing has been a wonderful learning experience that you intitiated. Thank You! That was the Buddha in you, my friend. Do you want to disown it because it stung?
It's a long, long road to enlightenment. _________________ I want to be more compassionate, humbel and loving. |

I have resigned as Moderator for the Theravada forum for precisely the reasons I gave. My level of ignorance regarding Theravada teachings is too high, and my knowledge woefully inadequate.
the post is open for those more capable.
I would urge anyone far more able than I, do apply for the post.
I am certainly not leaving the Forum, and Rudy has kindly permitted me to remain as a Moderator in the General discussion Forum.
I'm relatively good at General discussion.....
Thank you for coming back to me, it is appreciated.
With much Metta.

Good on you Fede for admitting your lack of knowledge on Theravada teachings. There is nothing lacking in that.....
Hope you are keeping well. _________________ “When you realise how perfect everything is you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky”
